Consider that the mission of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where each person plays a constructive role in society.

Believe that Scouting, faithful to its fundamental principles and thanks to its specific, tested, educative method, can be a significant way of contributing to the development of the kinds of people the World needs.

Are conscious that the development of Scouting at world, regional, national and local levels requires multiple forms of external support for the design, the development and the implementation of educative programs as well as a solid infrastructure of the entities responsible for these processes.

Care about contributing to the global dimension of the development of Scouting.

Adhere to fully and adopts the ethical rules developed by the World Organisation of the Scout Movement that are applicable in the partnership agreements with other organisations.

La Fabrique de Besançon S.A. and the World Scout Bureau have decided to put into place a partnership whose objective is to assist the World Scout Bureau in the fulfilment of its objectives and mission.

• La Fabrique de Besançon S.A. will manufacture a collection of watches “Scout 2007” commemorating the Centenary of the Scout Movement in 2007, under the form of a subscription system.

• The World Scout Bureau authorises La Fabrique de Besançon S.A. to place the emblem of the World Scout Movement as well as the signature of Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Scout Movement, on each of the watches.

• Royalties will be paid to the World Scout Bureau for each watch sold by La Fabrique de Besançon S.A. , these proceeds will be used for the “Scouts Of the World” program.
